I would not have recognised it.

> A photograph republished in Peter Sylvester's fair to middling book on Boogie Woogie, and on the slipcover of the jacket, is identified as of Suggs, who might be indentified as the "almost faceless man" (the other pianist at the rear was plainly Jimmy Yancey) because the Suggs pic, on the viewer's left, is cut off at the vertical toward the rear of the head.

The photo on my softcover edition (DeCapo) fits your description but has an Ammons and Lewis photograph and identified on the back cover.
Page 79 of the book cites Claud Brown as the author of Sweet Patootie.
