I played a few gigs with Thomas. However, after their divorce. It was with the band of trombone player Joe Wulf. I was mainly booked to do low saxes, tenor, baritone and bass.

Hello John,I wonder how many listmates (Europeans excluded) have ever heard of Thomas L'Etienne.  A wonderful New Orleans style clarinet and saxophone player, who suits the Richards style to perfection.
For those interested in gossip: he was married to the singer Lillian Boutte; I remember wondering whether he married his singer or she married her clarinet player!  More seriously - their work together was fabulous!  I cherish my memories from the 1991 Geleen Jazz Festival (the first and probably the last), with the aforementioned couple, the late Dan Pawson, couple, the late Tom Baker and many other great musicians.

Trevor currently lives in the Frankfurt area of Germany. I was working with him in Croatia last week (May 16 - 23 2019) with my band in Makarska. He's playing great drums and we work together whenever possible. He will be in UK with me again in September and December. He was in New Orleans earlier in the year with Clive Wilson. In Germany, he works with his trio with Thomas L'etienne and others, also with a repertory band. He's also busy with tuition and workshops plus record research and compilation.
