Today's shellac feature comes
to us from "Slim Lamar and his
Southerners," an obscure hot
band definitely worth a listen.
There is little known about this
group other than it's personnel
and the record dates and locations.
As their earlier recordings made
in 1928 were cut in Memphis it is
fair to assume that it's the city
from which the band originated.
