I have seen Jim doing it. Certainly funny. In general, I enjoyed the Canal
Street very much, as well as the company of Jim and his lovely wife.
But, when I was a young and eager fan (1959) I saw Trummy Young do it with
Armstrong All Stars, ant it put me off Tummy Young for years. It was much
later when I realized that he was doing it on all those All Stars live
concerts and it didn't really affect his playing.
Cheers
