LIEDERHOSEN 

It is not I who am selling the singing breeks 
which maybe help whisky tenors with only squeaks 
to raise their accomplishment with such 
as a tightening round the middle -- 
tap on one button a paradiddle
 
and touch is converted to clutch,
creaking cello to soaring fiddle, 

thus vouchsafing sans cracks or shrieks 

perfectly pure ascents to peaks 

much as Orpheus gave the Greeks.  


Unless these helpers of the throat 

were sewn from the hide of the nanny goat?  

In that case a diaphragm ostinato 

could cause an irregular wobble-vibrato 

and baritones would flock round to jeer and gloat.
