I've been playing King 2B's for years on is a 1954 model and the other a
1958 model Best Dixieland horns I ever played and I have had 3B's;Urbie
Green Martin,Conn 48 H Constellation,Olds Recording Yamaha YS-897Z. Always
liked the Connbest for big band work when I played lead. Never had a chance
to try an Edwards,Lawler,Shiers,Marcinkiewicz,XO,Jupiter or any of the
numerous brands out there. Ed Hubble plays a Williams which was quite a
leap coming off of an Olds with the tuning slide in the slide like Vic
Dickenson played for a long time. I had the slide doctor do the 2b slides
and one of the horns he told me was the best one he had ever worked on. A
real keeper.
