The AFCDJS ("America's Finest City Dixieland Jazz Society") in San Diego has
an Adult Traditional Jazz Camp every January. This coming January it will
run from Thursday to Sunday, January 14-17. The faculty are:

Clint Baker - Trumpet/Cornet
Howard Miyata - Trombone
Dan Levinson - Clarinet, Sax
John Royen - Piano
Katie Cavera - Banjo/Guitar
Marty Eggers - Tuba/Bass
Steve Apple - Drums

For the January 2017 session, the Piano slots are full, as are the
Banjo/Guitar slots. There are one or more openings for each of the other
instruments. Every camp participant will spend time playing under every
faculty member, with additional open jam session playing opportunities.

This is a good camp, designed for adults 21 over who want to play trad jazz.
You should be competent as in instrumentalist on your instrument -- in other
words, they won't teach you to play your instrument, but they'll teach you
how to play traditional jazz on your instrument. I've attended several times
over the past 10 years, and I'd go again this January were it not for a
conflict on my calendar.

All info, including pricing and other details, are on the AFCDJS website"

I recommend it highly.
