[Dixielandjazz] Brian Lemon

[Gerard Bielderman]

On October 11 British pianoplayer Brian Lemon died. He was born on 
February
11, 1937 and played amongst others in the bands of Freddy Randall,
Fairweather-Brown All Stars, Alex Welsh and with his own trio. Between 
1995
and 2001 he was the permanent pianist of the (not longer existant) Zephyr
label and made for them about 30 cd's with George Masso, Roy Williams,
Warren Vaché, Alan Barnes, Ruby Braff, Tony Coe, a.o. In 2002 he had to 
stop
playing for reasons of health.
