Seriously, though. Surely you had one of those "silent practice" mutes in?
And, even those do make a sound. I always carry my mouthpiece with me to
have a daily "buzz", but I'd never attempt it on a plane.
I'm flying to Sydney in a couple of weeks on Emirates. They have private
rooms in first class, so I guess if one were willing to pay 5,000 Euros for
one of those rooms, you might get away with a few honks or strums on an
instrument. I really don't know how you got away with it in a normal seat
(where I fly)!
