[Dixielandjazz] Preservation hall Jazz Band

the kids watched the concert last night and greatly enjoyed the whole
show, were suitably impressed by the musicianship and especially with
the audience rapport -- in the final analysis, there is only *one*
instrument to master, the audience ;) -- so say what you will, I found
the video effective for purposes claimed, ie to engage and inspire my
young musicians.

keep in mind too that this is the PHJB *road show*, and like a
Broadway roadshow, it may well be they send the second-string players
out, or perhaps due to scheduling it just worked out that way, but in
my case, with my happy room of suitably impressed watchers, as with
that Iowa room of happy pub patrons, I don't think there's much call
for complaint.

"If we went to Preservation Hall, would they let us sit in with them?"
and judging from the lax and easygoing session I saw, I rather suspect
they would ;)
