I'm currently listening to "The Concert Whiteman: Paul Whiteman and his Concert Orchestra (1927-34)", "A Box Office Production", and "Presented" by "JJA" on the label, with the typed, mimeographed sheet of notes bearing the highly informative byline of "---S.T."

Anyone got some history of this typically fascinating low-budget production (which nonetheless has good sound)? The numbers on the labels are "JJA 19751A" and "...1B".

Oh, I'm sure someone's gonna want to know this:

Recorded 1927:
"Soliloquy" (1926)
Recorded 1928:
"Suite of Serenades" (1924)
"Metropolis" (1927)
"Three Shades of Blue" (1928)
Recorded 1934:
"Park Avenue Fantasy" (1933)
"Deep Purple" (1934)
"Blue Moonlight" (1934)
Recorded 1937:
"All Points West: A Musical Narrative" (1936)
