Yes, John, Frank Gazis was a terrific musician. He had a little corner in the front of Vanessi's Restaurant and played his heart out on the Cimbalom.

There is an album that he made entitled "San Francisco Moods" which is very good. I recommend it. If you have Spotify, it's available there.

What I recall about Frank was his unassuming and shy attitude. It's almost as if he were playing for himself and didn't want to interfere with the diners at the restaurant.

I suppose he was like a piano bar player that was there for mood music. In fact, the Cimbalom is like the inside of a piano, played with felt hammers instead of a keyboard.
