A few suggestions:
1) Rutgers University - has a jazz archive
2) N.Y.C. Public Library or Lincoln Center Library
     Both have collections of orchestrations etc.
3) Bruce Boyd Raeburn of New Orleans, who is the curator of the William Ransom Hogan Archive of New Orleans Jazz at the Tulane University in New Orleans.
