Neiman Marcus opens a Big New Store in downtown Walnut Creek, California and Look who is playing the Grand Opening !! Our old list mate
Tom Wiggins /Saint Gabriel's Celestial Brass Band, they must be popular, they keep showing up in the high rent districts with good gigs and 8 to 13 players in the band. Maybe Big Bands ARE Back !!

They were all over California in Feb. too:

11th, at Cal Expo, Sac. played to 7000+ attending the Naughty Gras Party and another Mardi Gras celebration in Redwood City by splitting the band

18th, they played a Parade in the a.m and Two Mardi Gras events in the afternoon & evening.
20th, At Blackhawk Plaza Shopping Center for Mardi Gras
21st. At Northstar Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe for a Mardi Gras Party on the ICE skating Rink
24th Mardi Gras Party at a big Retirement community in Brentwood, Ca.

25th Sac. Convention Center Mardi Gras Family Festival afternoon & A Mardi Gras Ball that evening at the Library Galleria.

Bet his old back is aching from carrying that Bass Drum around :)) ha ha he must be 103 years old by now huh ?

Cheers,

Bart.

The media came Wednesday morning to poke around the jewelry section and the handbag section and the men's store and the cafe — all of the new Neiman Marcus store was a showcase.
It's not immediately known if Lamorindans will display a similar interest.
Neiman's doors open to the public at 10 a.m. Friday. General Manager Jamie Broadhurst hinted, during the media tour, that there would be a surprise for the shoppers Friday morning as well. Broadway Plaza is apparently delighted to play host to the new arrival. The plaza, starting an hour before the Neiman Marcus opening, will have live music from St. Gabriel's Celestial Brass Band, breakfast bites and coffee. The whole day is shaping up as a celebration — Broadway Plaza also invites the public to rock out with the group Gravy Boat in the Broadway Plaza Promenade, starting at 7 p.m.
