Good morning all from sunny (at last!) Oxfordshire, UK.
The "Bohems" will be arriving next week. Most importantly, they'll be
playing in our village hall, 15 miles west of Oxford; bookings are going
well but if any listee is contemplating a trip to Oxford or the
Cotswolds, then Aston Village Hall is the place to be on July 31st.
Have a look at the www.bohemragtime.com to see if they're playing
anywhere near you. I can tell you that, while Londoners are leaving
town to escape the expected olympic chaos, Tamas and the band will be
travelling in the opposite direction for a lunchtime session at The
Spice of Life, Cambridge Circus, Charing Cross Rd. on Aug 3rd
August 20th sees another visit to Aston from Ivory and Gold. I've lost
count of the number of times that they've played in our corner of the world.
Putting on village gigs can be a bit of a nail biter because people tend
to leave booking till the last day or two but we get a good mix of
dedicated fans and local people who just appreciate live music.
Off to enjoy the sunshine,
Jude
