Hi all,

I don't know where in California, but an internet friend of mine from
Russia is looking to hook up with musicians in California starting
sometime next month.

Here's what she says about herself in her blog:

Singer is looking for musicians in California.

    Hi guys!
My name is Lena. I'm looking for musicians or band in California, in
the United States of America. I'm a singer. Now I live in Moscow,
Russia, but I moving to the California in February, to live and to work.
I've always dreamed of living in the USA, especially California, and of
singing with American musicians.
I've studied music since age four. I graduated from children's music
school, where I studied for nine years, playing the bayan (Russian
accordion) and the piano. I used to play in school orchestra as a
soloist and sang in the choir. I always enjoyed singing. After music
school, I sang and played guitar in my school rock band.
At my University, I played with a band that gained popularity in my
city, Nizhny Novgorod. I began to write and perform my own songs. It was
fun. We played many concerts in our city, in Moscow and in
St.Petersburg. I decided to move to Moscow in order to continue my music
education and to perform in the musical capital of Russia. I graduated
from Moscow Jazz College and have been studying with a private
instructor for the past several years. College left me no time to write
songs, so I sang in cover band. It was not as good as I wanted when we
had started, but I'm a perfectionist, so we kept searching for the right
sound. Finally we got it!
The last year was very productive and interesting: I started to
write my new songs in English, and our band had a lot of work. I've
received some interesting offers in Moscow (to sing with a famous
rock-star, for example), but my dream about living in USA is becoming
true, so I'm following my dream.
That is my reason for starting this blog.
I hope to find some good musicians with whom to play and become
friends.
Here, I'm going to write something about my life, my music, my
moving and my ideas. I also want to improve my English.
I'd be happy to communicate with you and would appreciate your
correcting my English. It would be very helpful to me. So, let’s be
friends! Welcome!
