I hear you Pat. Each to his own, which is OK by me. VBG.

Where did those nights (of wine women & song) go? Well, every once in
a while they re-emerge. I still do some night club gigs that start at
9 or 10 PM and end at 1 or 2 AM. Younger audiences of course as we old
folks don't get out much at those hours unless we are dedicated
musicians.

We have some young Dixieland Bands here in Southeast Pennsylvania who
often play those late night gigs. And I love to sub in those bands, or
play swing dances with my band, to be with the younger generations. I
get to sleep about 4 AM and being 78 and a cancer survivor, am pretty
much wiped out the next day, but I wouldn't miss them for the world.

Got two of them coming up on January 27 and 28. For Roaring 20's
Prohibition Parties at a "Gentlemen's Club" 80 miles away in
Harrisburg PA. They end at 1:30 AM which means I'll get to bed at 4 AM
Friday night and then have to do it all over again Saturday night.
Hope I survive.

The club is Savannah's on Hanna in Harrisburg. The venue is a blast,
complete with a bevy of pretty, young ladies, on staff. I can hardly
wait to play "The Stripper", or sing "I Want A Little Girl". VBG

Check out their web site links below and you'll see what I mean. The
band is "The Speakeasies", a Harrisburg 6 piece Dixieland/Swing group.
Piano, Bass, Drums, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone. I'm lucky to be with
them for this journey back to the good old days. VBG
