Well, here is a link to Mundell Lowe playing in a more modern group in  
1958 about the same time as the DeParis clip. Here he is with "Billies  
Bounce"

Mundell, Billy Taylor, Ed Safranski are in this group along with Vic  
Dickenson, Buck Clayton, Paul Quinichette and Ed Thigpen. Mundell's  
solo spot is about 3 min & 15 seconds into the clip.

Note that Billy Taylor and Ed Safranski are also on the DeParis Clip.  
I think they all worked in NBC or CBS studio bands about that time.
