[Dixielandjazz] Charlie Connor, RIP

For those of you who might be aware of this fine UK-based clarinetist
and saxophonist, word came to me yesterday that he passed away in his
sleep the night before. He was 83.

Charlie worked in the 1970s and '80s with the Cambridge City Jazz
Band. In 1985 he formed his own group, Vintage Reeds, with which he
continued to work.

He was an influence on clarinetist Ian Wheeler who passed away this past June.
