Hello Bill,
Graeme Bell may not be the best Australian pianist, but he certainly
is the best known one.  After all, how many Austrailan jazzmen, adide
from him and Bob Barnard, are known elsewhere, in particular - in the
US?
And there are some who have been playing in America and Canada for years.
