The following Style Guide is a detailed presentation of the various
dixieland, trad, etc. styles

David Robinson is an expert on the music, intimately familiar with the
recorded literature, and arguably the DC area's best cornet/trumpet
players. He is known as a chameleon who can play virtually any style,
including mainstream and bebop--authentically.

I would note that categories, however annoying to some musicians, are
useful in various ways. Selling a band to booking agents--just tell 'em
"Dixieland" or "20s jazz". (But one needs to be certain a prospective
client knows what he's getting; he may or may not care about the
particular style.) Truth in advertising when one is selling one's CDs.
Sorting large record/CD collections.
