Red Norvo was here earlier than the Sinatra tour, about 1956 from memory. He 
did a Sunday afternoon gig (just sitting in I think) with Don Burrows group 
at Bronte. I don't think it was at the Surf Club, but certainly close to the 
beach. I didn't have a flash for my camera in those days so I coaxed him 
outside to take a photograph of him - colourful shirt and all.
