    I was a gunnery officer aboard ship in the invasions of Iwo Jima and Okinawa in WWII.     I do notice hearing deficiency now that I am 86 years old.   I don't seem to be able to hear good banjos at all.   I do have a problem with accordions, also.    Especially when they are being played.
