Hello all,

The Jelly Roll Morton  website has been updated with 6 terrific articles and
items of great interest and historical value.

Brian Goggin sends details for a Jelly Roll Morton engagement at Shady Grove
Park, Uniontown from The Morning Herald, dated 7th June 1929.

Mark Miller sends an article about drummer William Hoy and Oscar Holden from
The Indianapolis Freeman, dated 23rd August 1919.   This is just a week or
so before Jelly Roll joined Holden's band in Vancouver, B.C. Canada.   Mark
has also sent a copy of Oscar Holden's business card in the article.

Noted dance band leader Vince Giordano sends a rare article from The Music
Trade Review, dated 12th March 1927.   The article describes an advertising
campaign by the Melrose Music Co. for "Doctor Jazz.".

Millie Gaddini sends a rare article about Marty Bloom (Martin Blumenthal)
from The Music Trade Review, dated 13th November 1926.   Marty Bloom
features on sound effects on "Dead Man Blues" and "Sidewalk Blues" with
Morton on the Victor recordings dated 21st September 1926.

Brian Goggin sends details of the CBS network radio broadcast of "We, the
People" featuring Jelly Roll Morton from The Capital Times, Madison,
Wisconsin, dated Tuesday, 31st October 1939..
