Dear Steve,
Flip over to pages 1970-1 where Buck mentions the March 1964 Australia  
- New Zealand - Japan tour.
He certainly had a great time here but, being a gentleman, did not  
mention the girls.
But some of them certainly remember him! Still.
Was it Billie Holiday who said that Buck Clayton was the handsomest  
man she ever knew?
There is also a funny story about a 'travelling' kangaroo-skin wallet,  
which I can only recall dimly.
(It hopped from Australia to London to New York over the years.)
It may be in something Humphrey Lyttelton wrote as he was involved, as  
I recall.
