Dan, I am with you 100%.  For years I refused to get a KB because I didn't like the touch and the sound.  Since I don't do music 100% for a living any longer, I could hold out longer than if I had been making a living at music.  

One day I played on a Yamaha  120 and was pleasantly surprised.  I broke down and purchased one along with a heavy duty stand, foldable bench and heavy-duty amp.  

If forced to use the KB, I do, but I much prefer an acoustic piano.  However, you know what kind of shape most acoustic pianos are in these days...  

I wonder how well a horn man would play if forced to use a different horn on each gig with one or two valves or keys not working and the wrong size mouth piece?
