Hi All,

My old mate John McLevy, ace Scottish trumpeter, who played with Benny Goodman, Ella Fitzgerald and all sorts of amazing people, had some useful hints for musicians entering the profession:
1.. Don't be a mug at the bar.
2.. Don't hang around with chorus girls and, most important of all,
3.. Never trust a drum break!
He also defined the 3 most pointless things on the planet as:
  1.. the Pope's b*lls
  2.. a nun's t*ts and
3.. a vote of thanks for the band!
RIP Johnny
