The musician joke involving a bleeper reminded me of an Edinburgh gig quite some time ago, when a less than gent with one of the unmusical instruments in his pocket was summoned a couple of times, much to the discomfiture of Fionna Duncan, who was singing with a  very distinguished band.  She was really boggled when after one of the strings of Al Casey's guitar went out of tune during a solo Al reectified the matter while continuing to play, an amazing swoop in pitch.  Al was plainly in the mood for fun, and shortly after performed a startlingly accurate impersonation of the by that time silenced bleeper -- amazing what that man could do  on his guitar!  And all in the best possible taste.
