How about Manuel Paul and Louis Nelson.. Just about as basic as it gets, and
it works. In a much more recent era the recently recorded and released
session with New Orleans Delight with guests Kid Bastien and George Berry. 

These two sessions may not be generally well known but have received top
quality reviews in Europe and amongst North Americans who were aware of the
Music Mecca releases.
