True, but the original (indoor) jazz bands WERE dance bands.

But I don't want to get into that interminable round-and-round. I really 
want to plead that most bands without dancers to act as speed checks play 
TOO FAST. Everything sounds like a blur of 64th notes with no discernable 
tune.
