Dear Steve,
It would have been Columbia's (and Condon's) decision to leave it in,
or take it out.
Fine with me.
If it had been cut before release, no one buying the LP would have ever
known.
(As with the trombone glitch on the Sinatra concert record mentioned by
Kash.)
But for MOSAIC to make the correction many years later would have been
sacrilege.
A definite no-no.
Reissued historic jazz recordings must NEVER have the music tampered
with.
