Hear me talkin’ to ya
Order, order.
Strewn about the green benches of the House of Commons and the red
benches of the House of Lords there are dozens of hip MPs and peers. In
fact there are more than a hundred of them, members of the All-party
Parliamentary Jazz Appreciation Group. Its aim is “to promote the use
and enjoyment of jazz as a music form”. The members all practise what
they preach and listen for pleasure too. They reckon that snapping the
fingers and tilting the head in time to the music is great therapy after
a long day in committee or the division lobby.
The group’s secretary is Bob Blizzard MP for Waveney.
He joins Paul Barnes at 6.00 on Saturday evening, March 17, on BBC Radio
Norfolk to discuss honourable members, noble lords and ladies, and their
chosen music. Vote with your ears. Tune in.
The show will be available for 7 days following the transmission.
