[Dixielandjazz] What's a Musician worth?

We did a wedding last September at The Lawnmere Inn in Boothbay Harbor
where the groom was a George Lewis fan who insisted we play only trad
jazz so we did and included "It Had To Be You" as the wedding dance. It
was a sit down for guests and the band (same fare) and we were paid close
to $400 each for 4 hours work ending in a standing ovation by the bride,
groom and all the guests. All the guests were dancers and loved the up
tempo numbers.
