[Dixielandjazz] ReStarts - how do you do them?

For me, it depends on the seriousness of the phopaw.

If it appears the guys will not find their way out, [ like 1/2 the guy are at the top an the rest are at some other place ]  I stop
the band and start over.

If I think the band can recover, I start playing real simple and emphasize the "1" of each measure.
