For the educators out there, below is an interesting website that shows some
lesson plans for elementary & high schools. It is from the Thelonious Monk
Institute, but don't let that scare you. E. G., The lesson plan for grade 5
(on left side of home page) does indeed talk about OKOM and has a clip from
Oliver/Armstrong's "Working Man Blues" from 1923, along with an analysis.
Great site to surf for those who want to get jazz curriculum into the
schools.
