The band's location is about an hour's drive from me. I know most of the
musicians in the group and have been a sub with them on a few occasions.
They are always enjoyable.

A number of children¹s craft activities were set up, and children traveled
from station to station, taking part in potato stamping and pumpkin
decorating. One station demonstrated how Drumlin Farm sheep¹s yarn is
naturally dyed in a rainbow of colors. Bloodroot gives the yarn an orangey
hue, while rock tripe lichen turns the yarn pink. Ground up pokeweed, or
pokeberry, becomes a plum-colored dye, while goldenrod gives the yarn a
light yellow color.
Inside the barn, Michelle Sullivan, Brian Kuehl and their children, Patrick,
5, Maggie, 4, and Katie, 2, danced to the music and checked out the
different stations. It was their first trip to Drumlin Farm, and they didn¹t
realize the Fall Festival was happening until they arrived.
