We don't rehearse, but we play a heck of a lot of gigs per month!  New tunes
get tried out on the spot.  Sometimes, a trickier tune will get a look over
during a sound check.  That's it.  Head arrangements pop up during playing,
and if everyone says "enjoyed that lick", we mentally make a note to use it
again.  We can do that due to the years we've been together.

Everyone works on their own horn at home on their own, that's for sure!  I
do, every day I don't have a gig. Take my mouthpiece when I'm away on trips
for a few toots while the wife is getting ready to go out!  :>
