Hello all,

The website has been updated with seven outstanding items of historical 
interest.

Prof. Lawrence Gushee and Prof. Alan Wallace send details of Jelly Roll 
Morton in Indianapolis, Indiana, from the Chicago Defender, dated 5th 
January 1924.

Prof. Lawrence Gushee sends a superb article on Rudi (Rudolph Pickett) 
Blesh, the well-known author.   This accompanies Blesh's WW1 draft 
registration card.

Prof. Alan Wallace sends a series of stunning pictorial advertisements for 
the Music Corporation of America promoted engagement of Jelly Roll Morton at 
the Alhambra Theater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin..

Noted British jazz writer Derek Coller , who has written articles for the 
Jazz Journal and the Mississippi Rag sends a thoroughly researched article 
on Charles Edward "Cow Cow" Davenport..   This accompanies Davenport's draft 
card.

Peter Hanley sends a superb article, complete with previously unknown 
information, on George Reynolds --- he of "Randall's Rag" fame on Jelly 
Roll's Library of Congress recordings.    This accompanies Reynolds's WW1 
draft card.

Master piano roll arranger John Farrell sends an interesting and 
well-researched article on Max Kortlander.   This accompanies Kortlander's 
WW1 draft card.

Russell Shor sends a side-by-side pictorial advert of Pablo Casals and 
Jelly-Roll Morton's Red Hot Peppers, which featured in Victor's second 
Orthophonic Recording promotional booklet, dated October 1926.
