Hey Ted

Well, Condon always did try and make the music current. As he termed it;
"Modern Dixieland". Perhaps that's why his band lasted so long and why there
was no Dixieland Revival in NYC. Small band Dixieland music was there
continuously from 1920 to Eddie's passing) And if you check the Dixieland
venues today, it still thrives there.

But careful now, you'll get us Eddie Condon Fans (who like his version of
Duff Campbell's Revenge) in deep do do.

Them musical archaeologists can get mean. :-) VBG.
