Ah yes so true Bill:

However I am getting a wonderful idea for a great Band, I am gong to
go to the auto wrecking yard and build a new set of Drums that will be
perfectly in tune with the Sarusaphone , might even find an old 38ish
Chevy Grill to make a Washboard from. :))

Perhaps that lovely instrument was just unfortunately missmatched with
a bunch of other more well known and exposed OKOM instruments that have
been over tuned for mellowness and sweetness. :)) The sarusaphone
sounds like the real deal rough cutting edge music of yesteryear even
akin to sounds heard on some very early 45 rpm phonograph recordings
being played in my CD player, sort of makes Cornets, and T-BONES
and Tubas sound sort of like early SMOOTH JAZZ if you will :)).

I would love to hear Kenny G play it at an International Cat Mating
convention. Whooeee !!! That would be some awesome music, and no
doubt a million selling record if somebody recorded it. It could
probably be recycled as frisbees after the concert as well. :)) we
could market it as "Kenny G Katerwallin with the Cats" vol. #1 an
instant collectors item never to be duplicated again. :))

Cheers,

Tom "Mew Mew" Wiggins

   Bruce,

You wrote (regarding Pete Main's Sarousaphone):

 >Pete Main's instrument was indeed memorable.

 Memorable?!! You call that memorable!??

If you took all the ugly noises in the universe and rolled them into
one it would still not sound as bad as a sarousaphone. Pete could put
the ax down and make armpit farts and get a more beautiful sound than
that ugly, miserable excuse for a "musical" instrument. It truly is an
instrument for people with "tin ears" or perhaps a death wish.

 I'm glad you enjoyed it.

 Warmest regards,

 Bill "phhhhttt!" Gunter
