[Dixielandjazz] The "partners" thing - from partner perspective

This has been followed by numerous postings from the list members that are in bands.

As a non-musician lover of this music and a band "companion" (don't you just love going around labeled as a "companion"?!), I've got to throw my 2 cents in.  I try to go with my musician to everything I can, including recording sessions.  It's a great way to share time and interests with him. I love to see and hear him play.  I love the bands in which he plays.  And at festivals I get to hear a lot of other bands.  Plus, I'm finding that there are musicians out there that have wives or partners that come with them to most of their gigs.  Some of them were previously married to women that did not. We also go together to hear OKOM when he's not even playing in the band.  (He dances too.  Am I lucky or what?)
