Hello all,
The Jelly Roll Morton website has been updated with the following items:
Derek Coller sends an article titled: "THE 'FABLELOUS' JELLY" by Harrison
Smith, which appeared in the Record Research magazine, dated January -
February 1957.
Derek Coller sends an article titled: "DEBUNKING JELLY ROLL" by Harrison
Smith, which appeared in the Record Research magazine, dated June - July
1957.
The two articles above contain many first-hand stories about Jelly Roll by
Harrison Smith (the West Indian!) in Lomax's Mister Jelly Roll.
Ate van Delden sends, what is perhaps, the most well-known photograph of
Jelly Roll Morton for the Iconography Library.
All the above items can be accessed from the UPDATED BOX at:
http://www.doctorjazz.freeserve.co.uk/index.html
Hope you enjoy.
Musically yours
Mike
