Confused about Dixieland and/or Trad Jazz Styles? A lucid style guide of
traditional jazz can be found at the below web site.

Yep, courtesy of the Traditional Jazz Educator's Network. Written by Dave
Robinson who is a working jazz musician member of the Potomac River Jazz
Club. (Virginia/Maryland/Wash DC area)
Dave plays trumpet / cornet / bass trumpet / flugelhorn / valve trombone, is
the founder of TJEN, Guiding light of the Federal Focus Jazz Band (kids 7
piece band playing Dixieland) etc., etc. Barbone Street had the pleasure of
playing with him at Louis Armstrong's Birthday Bash in Sydney's Jazz Club,
Rehoboth DE over a weekend last August.
So I guess the old saw that "Them that can't play teach" is a lot of hooey
because Dave sure as hell can play and he sure as hell can teach. Besides
all that, he gets things done. Surf that TJEN site above and you will see
what I mean.
Cheers,
Steve
