[Dixielandjazz] Music in San Diego--new venue

This coming Sunday (4/16/2006) America's Finest City Dixieland Jazz Society meets from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm  at the Innsuites Lafayette Hotel in the Mississippi Room.  The venue was just changed.  The Innsuites is located at 2223 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego.


The featured band for the 3 hours concert is the Heliotrope Ragtime Orchestra.  The band features ragtime and vintage popular songs.  For more information about the band, check out our web site.

General Admission $10, AFCDJS members $7, under 22--$5. 

Concert attendees who wear an Easter bonnet or hat, or bring a “second-line” parasol, will have an opportunity to participate in a contest during the orchestra’s second set.  Prizes will be  awarded for the best bonnet, hat and parasol.
