In addition to "You're Bound to Look Like A Monkey When You Get Old"
mentioned by Ed Metz, and played by Tex Wyndham's bands every once in a
while, the following songs were written about the Scopes trial and you can
hear sound bites at:

The John Scopes Trial

There Ain't No Bugs

Can't Make a Monkey of Me

Bryan's Last Fight

Monkey Out of Me

Monkey Business

Additionally, one of the prosecuting attorneys named Sue Kerr Hicks (male)
suspected that he was the model for Johnny Cash's "A Boy Named Sue" made
famous in 1969 at Folsom prison. Shel Silberstein was the lyricist and
though everyone denied Mr. Hicks was model, it seems that Shel S. had
visited a place where Mr. Hicks was, 6 months before the song was made
famous and seen his name.

Cheers,
Steve Barbone
