In response to the Buddy Bolden comment, Fr Mike wrote "that was a private,
unissued recording, if I recall correctly".

Sorry Mike, I still have trouble with the American sense of humour - that
was a joke wasn't it?

On a more practical level, it should be noted that not all the cylinders
are Edisons - a significant proportion are Columbias.
