Aye, and even a horse pulled milk wagon along side an ice wagon with horse power into which you could sneak in and get a small sliver if ice on a hot day. And if you were lucky, the iceman would drop a chunk.
 
Ah yes , those were the days. What the marvel was, that the horse did the route without direction..
