Much better internet searchers than me may find the lyrics to "It's The
Animal In Me".
Here is what I have:
"It's The Animal In Me"
Composed by Harry Revel (1905-1957) with words by Mack Gordon (1904-1959)
and filmed for the 1934 musical 'We're Not Dressing' (sung by Ethel Merman)
but not used. However, it was later included in the 1935 film 'The Big
Broadcast Of 1936'. The sequence won an Academy Award for Dance Direction
(instituted in 1935) for LeRoy Prinz ("Elephant Number--It's the Animal in
Me")
Ethel Merman recorded it with Al Goodwin's orch for Brunswick on 17 July
1935. It was released, backed by "The Lady in Red" at that time.
