"We disagree about NPR, but not about a lot of other things!"

Just a point of clarification: National Public Radio is but one source of
public radio programming. The other major supplier is Public Radio
International, the network that carries BBC World Service, Whaddya Know?,
Afropop Worldwide, American Routes, To The Best of Our Knowledge, This
American Life, Jazz After Hours and Riverwalk Jazz. PRI differs from NPR in
that it is a looser confederation of independent producers, of which we are
one. For more info, go to www.pri.org <http://www.pri.org/> .

As far as I know, PRI, although funded from other public sources, is not
funded directly by law of the Congress of the US as is NPR.

Most public radio stations carry programming from both networks and others
as well. Public radio conventions are attended by people representing all
networks and producers in the PR world, which in my experience is not as
politically monochromatic as some of you are making it out to be.
