[Dixielandjazz] Banjos a a Phallic Symbol

Dick Baker's interesting post on the banjo history exhibit was very
informative. However, he opened up a can of worms with the quote in the last
paragraph:

"... isn't the instrument just one big phallic symbol? But that's a bit of
banjo symbology the curators did not spell out."
<snip>

This ought to bring a flood of messages regarding the "real role" of banjos
in a jazz ensemble!!
